Do not put high gain settings on both, the sound might crackle. For a very basic rock setup use a medium or high gain amp and a distortion pedal in PRE.
They will get more of my money for said content. Reset the tone, start with the amp and speakers, then try out the different pedals to get the sound that you want. They are developing new downloadable content all of the time. It does still have a ton of as of yet untapped content. It has opened me up to new possibilities, it has gotten me to play more and feel more confident than I've felt in years. The game is not perfect, it's not magic, some of the components seem useless to me but it has helped to move me forward. It's also allowing me to play longer (and to stop worrying obsessively about my stupid weak nails which have always been a problem for me). The fourth thing is that the switch back to a flat pick is allowing me to play faster which is great because I've always felt like a slow player, too slow to play a lot of songs. Now that I'm playing so much the nail on my index finger just can't compete with the abrasive effect of a guitar string. Revv Amplification is the tone used by professional guitarists. I have been using a thumb pick and mostly my index finger for the past four or five years.

The feedback on my playing and the riff repeater are like a drug that I cannot resist. The second thing is that I'm playing more. I'm not talking about a huge change but it has expanded my world a little in a positive direction. I got Rocksmith 2014 (PC version) for Christmas and it has had a couple of interesting impacts on me.įirst of all it has gotten me out of my box, I am playing and listening to music that I otherwise would not have ever known existed. I've been playing for about seven years now but its just a hobby and I don't spend nearly as much time playing as I should or would like.
